At the end of January, I had the opportunity to spend a week in the city of Seattle. Although I took my trip to Seattle for a work related purpose, it was honestly one of the most enjoyable trips that I have taken in quite some time. Not only did I enjoy my time there, but I felt quite inspired by what I saw and experienced while I was there.

In case you didn’t know, Seattle is a major hotbed for technology related start-up companies. While Silicon Valley is still the dominant location for tech related start-ups, Seattle has many great tech start-up companies of their own. The reason that I was sent there for a week on a business trip was so I could gather information for an article on some of the best start-ups throughout the city of Seattle.

Although it was hard to narrow down the list of start-ups (because there are so many great companies in Seattle), I made all of my choices ahead of time and setup appointments to visit the companies on my list. Thanks to this advanced planning and the help of my car rental in Seattle, I was able to spend quite a bit of time with each company that I visited.

While the economy is not doing that great, after seeing all of the innovation that is taking place at these companies (thanks to all of the talented people who are working harder than ever), I am confident that we will get through these hard times and push through to an even brighter future.
