Well, unless some major event takes place and changes my plans, it looks like I will officially be moving to Seattle. The reason that I’m moving to Seattle is because my company is opening a new branch there, and they asked if I would be part of a select team of existing employees that would go there to interview, hire and train new employees. Before they asked me to answer this question, they told me they were sending me to Seattle for four days so I could get a feel for the city. As you would expect, they paid for my flight, hotel, rental car and food; all I was obligated to do was explore the city and decide if it was someplace I could live.
I had a great time on my trip there, and before I even got on the return flight, I knew that my answer was going to be a yes. I’m still a young guy, and since I don’t have a wife or kids to worry about moving, I think this is the perfect opportunity for me to make a transition to a city where I could see myself living for many years to come.
