When the start of this month arrived, I told myself that I was going to find someplace to take a trip. My purpose for getting away was because life had been pretty stressful recently, and I decided that I needed to go clear my head. Usually, I wouldn’t just leave my life behind suddenly, but I realized that this time around, it was actually the best thing that I could do for myself. After making this significant decision, I hopped online and took a little time to check out the latest travel deals. Luckily for me, it seems like this trip was meant to be because I discovered a great rate on a trip to Seattle. I booked my trip for three and a half days, and knew that it was going to be a relaxing experience.

When you don’t plan ahead, your trip schedule is pretty wide open, and this trip was no exception. However, I wanted to be able to do whatever I decided during my trip, so I also reserved a Seattle car rental. Upon reserving everything, I realized that my trip would begin in just six days.

Upon arriving at the destination of my trip, the first decision I made was to get my Seattle car rental. Because I had already booked my Seattle car rental, I was able to get it in a matter of minutes. I am happy to report that my trip went extremely well, and it was just what I needed to clear my head.

As a result of my job, I have traveled to quite a few cities throughout the United States. Although I can honestly say that I have never visited a city that I disliked, I can also say that there are certain cities that stand out above the rest. If I had to pick my favorite city that I have visited, it would have to be Seattle. I have been there quite a few times, and Seattle is a place that never fails to impress me. If I ever had an opportunity to work in Seattle, I would move there in a second.

I think the reason I like Seattle so much is that it seems extremely well-rounded. On one hand, Seattle is one of the hot-spots for innovation in the United States (especially in the field of technology). On the other hand, Seattle isn’t just devoted to work. Instead, they have a rich culture that span across all of the areas that most people care about, including the culinary and visual arts, along with a well-known music scene.

If that weren’t enough, Seattle is an active city, and whenever the weather is nice, you will always see lots of people who are out enjoying it (and when the weather’s bad, you can always count on the gyms throughout the city being packed with health conscious individuals).

At the end of January, I had the opportunity to spend a week in the city of Seattle. Although I took my trip to Seattle for a work related purpose, it was honestly one of the most enjoyable trips that I have taken in quite some time. Not only did I enjoy my time there, but I felt quite inspired by what I saw and experienced while I was there.

In case you didn’t know, Seattle is a major hotbed for technology related start-up companies. While Silicon Valley is still the dominant location for tech related start-ups, Seattle has many great tech start-up companies of their own. The reason that I was sent there for a week on a business trip was so I could gather information for an article on some of the best start-ups throughout the city of Seattle.

Although it was hard to narrow down the list of start-ups (because there are so many great companies in Seattle), I made all of my choices ahead of time and setup appointments to visit the companies on my list. Thanks to this advanced planning and the help of my car rental in Seattle, I was able to spend quite a bit of time with each company that I visited.

While the economy is not doing that great, after seeing all of the innovation that is taking place at these companies (thanks to all of the talented people who are working harder than ever), I am confident that we will get through these hard times and push through to an even brighter future.

Well, unless some major event takes place and changes my plans, it looks like I will officially be moving to Seattle. The reason that I’m moving to Seattle is because my company is opening a new branch there, and they asked if I would be part of a select team of existing employees that would go there to interview, hire and train new employees. Before they asked me to answer this question, they told me they were sending me to Seattle for four days so I could get a feel for the city. As you would expect, they paid for my flight, hotel, rental car and food; all I was obligated to do was explore the city and decide if it was someplace I could live.

I had a great time on my trip there, and before I even got on the return flight, I knew that my answer was going to be a yes. I’m still a young guy, and since I don’t have a wife or kids to worry about moving, I think this is the perfect opportunity for me to make a transition to a city where I could see myself living for many years to come.

Up until a couple of weeks ago, I had never visited the city of Seattle. Although I had always heard good things about Seattle (and even seen several travel shows where they went to Seattle and showed many of the interesting things that it has to offer), I had simply never gotten a chance to go there myself. However, because I had heard quite a bit of positive information about the city of Seattle, it was a place that I had always wanted to go.

So, when my boss asked me if I would be willing to take a business trip to Seattle, it didn’t take me long at all to give her an answer of yes. Even though the trip was right at the beginning of the new year (which was why my boss was concerned that she was going to have a really hard time finding someone who would be willing to go), I was excited about this possibility, and so I took her up on the offer.

After being in the city for just under a week, I’m happy to say that Seattle not only met my expectations, but it actually exceeded them!

I really like being spontaneous. I think that if I stopped being spontaneous, my life would be a lot more boring, and my overall level of happiness would drop significantly. Fortunately, I don’t plan on being less spontaneous anytime soon, so I don’t think this is something that I am going to need to worry about.

To give you an example of what I mean about being spontaneous, let’s talk about my most recent trip to Seattle. Now, this may not seem very spontaneous, but that’s because you haven’t heard all of the details. I was talking to one of my friends two weeks ago on Thursday, and he said that he wished he could go somewhere fun for the weekend. I said let’s do it, and although he thought I was joking, I quickly pulled up a travel website. I found an awesome deal for a trip to Seattle, so I booked it for both of us and told him to pack his bags. On Friday morning, we were on a plane to Seattle, and we had a great time hanging out in Seattle over the next three days!

Although a lot of people have to travel really far every year when Christmas comes around, I never have to travel any farther than a twenty minute drive. While some people may think that this short of a trip doesn’t sound very fun, I am actually quite thankful that I don’t have to do any traveling during the holiday season. While I have never had to experience holiday traveling first-hand, I have plenty of friends who have told me about their experiences, and from everything that I have heard, it is a very stressful time that I am very happy I get to avoid.

The reason that I don’t have to do any traveling around Christmas is because not only do I live in Seattle, but so does all of my immediate family. While there is enough space in between us so that we don’t get on each other’s nerves, I think it’s really special that we all get to be so involved in each other’s lives. While a lot of families only get to see each other once or twice a year, we all get to spend time with each other at least once a week (if not more often).

My fiancee and I have been engaged for just over three months. We’re planning on getting married in approximately six months, so we still have quite awhile to enjoy being engaged to each other. While I am definitely excited to get married to her, I am glad it’s still down the road, because I am actually enjoying this period of being engaged to her. However, there are a lot of old sayings about how time flies when you are really busy, and because I have had so much to do at work over the last couple of months, it caught me off guard when I was looking at a calendar the other day and realized that my trip to Seattle is right around the corner.
